Chill Seafood Chef - John Pye

With some twenty years experience in the hospitality industry, John was classically trained in London in Michelin star restaurants and five star hotel, before deciding to travel the world to hone his skills working abroad in Europe and Australasia.

Finally settling in Sydney, the past ten years, John held various positions of executive chef in some of Sydney's leading restaurants.

These include Hugo's Bondi where he was awarded the prestigious Chef's Hat Award in The Sydney Morning Herald's Good Food Guide 2006.

Other establishments include Wildfire, Le Kiosk, & establishing the newly appointed Royal Oak in Sydney's Hills district.

John had been keen to establish his own seaside cafe & catering facility, specialising in contemporary Australian food while maintaining his philosophy for food to be kept simple and let the natural flavours shine through.
